How to Commit Your Life To Christ

God's Initiative

He sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross, paying the penalty for your sins, and promised that
"whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).

Our Response

* Understand that you are a sinner (Romans 3:23) and that without God's intervention, your wrongdoing
will ultimately lead to death and eternal separation from God (Romans 6:23).

* Realize that God loves you (1 John 4:10) and wants to forgive your sin (Psalms 86:5) and give you a
new life (2 Corinthians 5:17).

* Turn away from your sin and turn to God (Acts 3:19), accepting by faith His gift of salvation
(Ephesians 2:8, Romans 10:13).  If you want to make this choice now, you can express that desire to God
in a prayer similar to this one:

"Dear God, I know I am a sinner.  I believe Jesus died to take the punishment for my sin.  I accept
Your offer of forgiveness and eternal life.  I thank You for what You have done for me, and give You my life from this day forward."

After you have made this decision, you will want to share it with a Christian friend or pastor and
become involved in a local church, where you an grow in your knowledge of Christ.  As soon as possible,
you should be baptized as a public expression of your faith.

If you would like our pastor, Kevin Chubb, l to contact you about your decision, send him a
private email by clicking below.  He will respond as soon as possible.

God bless you for committing your life to Christ.
